Trailer Tow (BUX) - what does "BUX" mean?

one of my 2011 Jeep Liberty fuse slots is allocated to Trailer Tow (BUX) - what does "BUX" mean
(and same thing in a Ford F150 manual from the same year)

my 2011 Jeep has factory tow wiring package, and has this fuse.

the fuse is for +12Volts

BUT

does anyone know what BUX stands for?

My factory wiring manual does not define it.

My 2008 Jeep did not have a fatory tow package and did not have this fuse.

UPDATE; one auto site says that BUX = BUILT UP EXPORT, which seems odd as my Jeep is not an export model as far as I know.

How large is the fuse? 30A would either be brake controller power or +12V Aux power to the trailer. Smaller would probably be turn/brake/running lights.

Pull it and see if you lose power on either your Redarc or the +12V Aux charge line to the trailer.

According to a buddy that worked for Chrysler and was actually involved/stationed in Japan to coax them to import Jeeps, it does stand for Built Up For Export.

It's interesting how design follows the practical needs of selling products in a world wide economy.

China is the second biggest market for Jeep. They export a lot of vehicles.

It just seems weird to have that on a fuse...not every fuse. Just the one. Probably a mildly interesting history to why the tagging ended up like that.
