Water pump question

I have a 1999 Coleman Santa Fe, I have recently emptied and cleaned out my hot water heater. I then went to sanitize the clean water tank and after I filled it up and turned the pump on it sounded like it was running but when I turned on the faucet nothing came out. Does the hot water heater fill up first before I can use the sink?

Yes, the pump will fill the water heater tank first, unless it is bypassed.

How long does it take the pump to run to fill up the water heater? Also once its filled will the water pressure come back in the for the sink to work?

That depends. You need a place for the air to escape to when filling it. If you dont open the faucet or the pressure relief valve, it will not fill up at all. After that, the pump will build up pressure in the lines for the water to work. Also make sure the low point drains are closed. Ot can not build pressure if something is open.
