What Items Do You Have Multiples Of (At Home & On The Road)

Oh, so many things. [For sewing, I gathered up all the scissors in project boxes a few years ago, and the total was something ridiculous, but they've been dispersed again, so they're where they are handy to use. Sewing machines? 2 modern, 4 vintage. 1 midway between modern and vintage, and 3 vintage ones ready to rehab. Then there are notions aplenty.]
To name a few camping related ones, we have:
3 coleman white gas camp stoves. two 425 models, becasue we had a valve go when we tested it the day before a long trip, and no one in town had a replacement, so I ended up buying a stove. I found the larger 2-burner 413 at a yard sale, so that's been handy. Also, we have a single burner LP Coleman stove, and the white gas MSR Reactor Whisperlight for backing. Two Coleman lanterns, which we seldon use anymore, one white gas, which I prefer, and the other propane, bought one year when fire regs for one trip were prohibiting white gas appliances, we used the LP stove in the popup to cook.
Lots of tools, I buy them when I see them at yard sales, so we have a tool box in the trailer, one that goes in the truck, a bicycle one, one with things to service my vintage sewing machines, and the stuff that stays home. (Not even counting the huge wooden box that has my great-grandfather's carpenter tools in it, the few that are left anyway.) Klein multi-bit screwdrivers, in the camper and in the house, so we don't have to take them back and forth.

well, I did buy one more Ryobi 18V tool - but its not a duplicate - its the long reach 3/8" drive ratchet. I don't need it, but it just might be handy for my tired old limbs.

Off topic - what thing do you have multiples of (at home or on the road) - which is a bit more of an indulgence than an absolute necessity (sockets and wrenches do not count).

I'm sitting here trying to think of what, essentially unnecessary, items I might have in multiples. As I stare at the big monitor plugged into the laptop I'm unable to concentrate, distracted by the ticking of the seven mechanical analog clocks ticking away. They are periodically synchronized manually to either of the two radio frequency clocks.
As I looked around to get a count of the clocks I also identify that I have two other laptops (and spare parts for them), two more laptop dock stations, and another, even bigger, monitor. Three aquariums of various capacities, each with their own accessories, only one in use, the other two just in case.

"...at home or on the road..." you asked. No, I'm taking inventory of just what excess surplus is in this one room.
Please don't let me look in any other rooms....
or storage areas I commandeered....
or the garage....

For me its Multimeters - I have three regular DVMs (all Sperry units), a clamp- on DVM and a fully analog multimeter. This does not count the several small battery tester meters, nor the three specialy testers (voltage, capacitance, insulation). Accordingly, I have a rats-nest of test leads. One DVM stays in the camper. The Three DVMs are all Sperry's so that I only have to learrn one system. Two are identical, and the 3rd is nearly identical to the other two. I do not own any Fluke gear, as a DIY guy I cannot justify the cost.

I should note that for a long time I only had one multimeter - an Archer fromRadio Shack - very good - assembled from a kit. Then the WWW arrived, and we had access to stuff from China and 2nd hand stuff via ebay. The internet is a great enabler for acquistive folks. To be fair, ebay has enabled me to re-acquire a couple of things preciuos to me - a Panasonic transitor radio that was stolen (I had used it to listen to VOA and America's moon landing) and my first SLR - a Pentax H3 (no meter, screw mount lens) that I had solfd before coming to USA.

For what reason ?

I would understand one and a 12v test lamp.
But,I only have a JaycoQwest pop up. Not much to it.

I am right there with you. I have a Harbor Freight "cheapo" in the trailer, I have two Mustool digital meters, two digital pen type meters, a clamp on meter, and an old Radio Shack analog meter. I started carrying one in the trailer when we got to a park and couldn't get any power from the pedestal (it seems the breaker was defective-turned on and off to many times).

well, one is in the camnper - not in the garage. So thats Two Spery DVMs in the garage - one can measure voltage, the other can simultaneously measure current. Or some other voltage point. Or whatever.

And I have two 12V test lamps. One is in the tool cabinet, the other one is in the small travelling tool box that accompanies us on all trips. That tool boxe's tools are only for use on the road.

I know this is weird but I have multiple Tents. Two of which I keep, for some unknown reason in mmy storage bin on the PUP. One tent we bought for the family and we'll be using it Labor Day wknd., but the other two are 2 and 3 man tents specifically for me especially when we took the MIL with us but she passed away a few years ago and now we have others that are going with us all them female so I leave the ladies in the PUP and I have a place all to myself and I like it that way.

Oh boy, where to start! I have a weakness for ratchets - I have 2 drawers in my 26” stack that have nothing but ratchets. Granted, they are all different - flex, bent, roto head, narrow head, 144 tooth, etc. I probably have 3 or so complete sets of sockets, multiple battery lights and about 4 different auto battery chargers.

I too have several multimeters, all from Craftsman. Most were the professional line, maybe not as goood as some but they were the best I could afford, and they have served me well. Clamp AC/DC multimeters, a newer bluetooth capable one and another with built in IR temp meter. I have a small 2 drawer hand box that I have set up for electrical work that they all live in.

Speaking of boxes - I have at least 7 hand drawer boxes, mostly Craftsman with 1 Kobalt and 2 Husky ones. Mopst are the typical 3 drawer Craftsman style, but I do have a couple of the black rally style, including a 4 drawer model. Plus 4 tombstone cantilever boxes and my dad’s original hand box.

Camping gear - stoves. Oh lordy - I had to get rid of a couple over the last year or two. I think I have 15 or so Coleman stoves, most are white gas, but I have a couple propane ones, plus a box full of single burners, both Coleman and MSR Reactor style. Then there are the Trangias, I have both the 25 and 27 in duossal, plus a 27 in regular aluminum and a mini trangia. 1 Char Broil portable BBQ, the same style but a Weber, a Weber Q1200, and a BBQ box for my Camp Chef Pro60X.

Lanterns - I think I have at least 10, probably 15 Coleman ones, mostly white gas but I also have 3 of the Northstar propane ones too. Then there are the LED lanterns and headlamps. Strangely enough I do not have any duplicate flashlights - just a big one, a medium one and a small AAA one.

Tents and gear - 7 tents ranging from 1P to 6P models. 6 or so sleepingbags, plus a bunch of blankets/quilts, about as many sleeping pads, 5 or 6 cots, probably 10 different camping chairs and about as many different sized camp tables. 4 different camp kitchens, 3 chuck boxes, couple dutch ovens, 3 different pot/pan sets at least. 4 dining sets, 3 camp kettles, a bunch of mugs and 2 propane ovens.

My garage is just one unending gear wall.

But that is my weakness Bourbon, Evan Williams, Buffalo Trace, Eagle rare, Woodford, angles envy, Blade and Bow, many many more that I haven't named, but fortunately my wife somewhat supports my addiction.

Duplicate the kitchen so we don't have to pack pots pans dishes, utensils, lights, lighters, anything that may typically fail with infrequent use.

Our goal is to only have to pack clothes and food, plus toiletries so we can decide to go camping on the day before and lot have to go thru a big list or grab a bunch of totes to pack.
We get closer every trip.

I tend to purchase from my customers, those that are really smart, use impeccable quality control. It's nice to literally meet the Maker from Maker's Mark.
I won't badmouth distillers with poor QC (ethics and all). But I won't buy from them....

Along with everyone else, have multiple of multiples in multiple departments. Camping gear, cooking gear, fishing gear, tools. Even motorcycles and ATVs... one home and one in the toyhauler. But I guess the biggest of the multiples... CAMPERS
We lived several years in a 36FT 5ER set up next to our restoration project, and have a TH for travels adventures.
But have been looking for another small simple P'up to add to the fleet for little trips.
